TACT Gives $500 to Jewish Family Service

Dear Mr. Garfinkel,

            On behalf of Teens Acting for Community and Tzedakah, I would like to thank you for attending our meeting last week and for describing Jewish Family Services to us in such thoughtful detail. Your words greatly impacted us and we decided to grant our $500.00 Tzedakah Fund to JFS.

            After hearing about the food pantry and unemployment services at JFS, we believe that we would like to allocate our funds to those two areas. Before we make that decision, though, we would appreciate a breakdown of exactly what our funds would be used for in those areas and a suggested division of the funds. In addition to this donation, we are organizing our second annual Youth Group Food Drive and plan to donate the collected food to the JFS Pantry.

            During our meeting, we also read about the JFS Shalom Group and its educational activities for Jewish adults with developmental disabilities. We would like to participate during one of the upcoming holiday celebrations, perhaps Purim or Pesach. We would be happy to bring food as well as high spirits.

            Thank you again for devoting time to speak with us and for explaining the various projects of such a benevolent organization.
